1. Choosing a University

Do: Get to know the in’s-and-out’s of the UCAS website, this will become very helpful once you begin applying to universities!

Do: Look at the recent league tables, these will be able to show you which universities are the top universities by your subject. Examples of league tables are ‘The Complete University Guide’, and ‘The Guardian‘.

Read: Interested in a career in healthcare? Some courses are funded through the NHS, to find out more information click here to view an article from HealthCareers on financial support at university.

Do: Explore Reviews guide to ‘The best scholarship search platforms in 2017‘, and even try a few out for yourself in the future.

Do: Explore the ScholarshipHub’s website to start looking at what scholarships are available.

3. Just for Fun

Read‘An essay written by an applicant to an American college’ – A funny essay written by someone applying to a college in America. As part of their application, applicants write an essay about themselves in order to persuade the college to accept them. This example became famous as a funny approach to something which is normally treated very seriously. Not something to be copied!
