What we do

By the time disadvantaged young people leave school, they are on average more than 18 months behind their better-off peers.

In 2021, just 53% of disadvantaged pupils secured a pass in English and Maths GCSE, compared to 79% of non-disadvantaged pupils.

We envision a world where there is no disadvantage gap in education.

We transform young people’s futures through truly excellent tuition.

Talent-Ed is a charity set up in 2012 by a teacher, Rafi Cohen, frustrated that his brightest pupils from low income backgrounds were not being given the support and attention they needed to realise their full potential. Since then, we have grown to a nationwide charity working with thousands of young people every year.

Today we run two programmes that further our mission of transforming young people’s futures:

The Maths Masterclass Tutorials

We welcome students who have a passion for maths and a desire to become excellent mathematicians. In virtual small-group masterclasses we stretch and challenge students beyond what they will be doing in the classroom.

The Schools Programme

We partner with schools across the country to run tailored tuition programmes with their students from disadvantaged backgrounds. We cover core subjects, either face-to-face or virtually, from Key Stage 2 and up.
