Our offering

+ Experienced, qualified tutors

All our tutors are qualified teachers with many years experience working with young people. Three quarters of our tutors have 10+ years teaching experience. We don’t use volunteers or students, so we can ensure high quality tuition, and the best support possible for students.

+ Student-led learning

Our tutors specialise in a range of subjects, but we also have an extensive library of proprietary resources covering confidence & aspiration-building and core study skills (like revision and exam technique, essay writing, or debating). Tutors discuss the students’ needs and tailor the focus of the programme accordingly – so that the students have control over their learning.

+ Demonstrated impact

We monitor the progress of each student week by week, and feed back to teachers. At the end of the programme we share a report with teachers on the impact on students. Our PP students progress by a whole grade more than comparison groups – see ‘Our Impact’ for more.

+ Hassle free for schools

Once you select the students for the programme, we take care of the rest. We identify, train and background check tutors, handle logistics, and liaise with the relevant HoD to ensure the sessions are focused on the right topics

Small group tuition is recommended as part of an effective Pupil Premium strategy, and can lead to 4+ months additional learning.

Experienced teachers have a greater impact on student outcomes (75% of our tutors have >10 years teaching experience).

More small group tuition should be provided to disadvantaged students to “level the playing field” in education.
